Let's get crafting!

Directions:

Step 1:

Using the Lattice Swirl Gateway Die die cut two pieces of plain paper and then two decorative papers from the paper pad using the Large Gateway Outline Die.

Using white card die cut the Decorative die. Apply dries clear adhesive to the die cut and cover with Crystal Clear powder, shaking off any excess and leave to dry.

Step 2:

Adhere one of the pieces of plain paper and patterned paper die cut pieces together, these will form the sides of your gift bag. The plain side for the outer and patterned side for the inner of the bag.

Using a circle die cut both sides of the basket to create the handle. Do this for both sides of the gift bag.

Adhere the decorative die cuts to the front side (plain paper side) of the sides of your gift bag.

TOP TIP:

To make sure you get the handle in the right place lay the decorative die cut over the plain die cut and then lay the circle die under the decorative piece in the right place. Tape down the circle die and remove the decorative piece. Run through the die cutting machine and your handle will be in the correct place.

Step 3:

Cut a piece of white card 7" x 7" and score from the left  at 1 1/2"  and 5 1/2". Turn the card clockwise and then score at 2 3/4" and 4 1/4".

Cut along the score lines as shown in the above photo. These are the two middel lines on the side you scored last.

Fold along all the score lines and create your box.

TOP TIP: To make the box bring the two smaller middle pieces up first and then the two long sides. Adhere the overlapping ends in place to create your box.

Step 4:

Cover the box using the sames papers as you used for the gift bag sides. You will need the following:

For the base of the box cut a decorative piece of paper 1 1/2" x 4"

For the inside of the box cut a decorative piece of paper 11 1/2" x 2 1/2"

For the two outside edges cut two pieces of plain paper 1 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Adhere all the pieces inside and outside the box.

Next adhere the box sides to the box also and you have your gift bag, all you need to do now is decorate it!

TOP TIP: To keep the handle closed add a velcro dot to the middle of the handle at the top.

Step 5:

Create a flower for your gift bag. Using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper stamp in Ranger Archival Plum Ink the larger of the Wild Aster images. You will need to stamp this three times. To make the flower you will use three of the larger images and one of the smaller image.

Lightly shade unsing Ranger Archival Cactus Flower ink in the centre of all the flower images. Next using the coordinating die, die cut the flower pieces.

Colour the tips of each of the petals with the Cactus flower ink using the precision daubers and shape by running a shaping tool along the back of each petal so they curve upwards. Turn over the flower to the right side and use a circlualr motion in the flower centre for the flower to take shape.

Stamp using Ranger Archival Fern Green ink the leaf and shade using Leaf Green ink. Die cut and shape using the flower shaping tools.

Step 6:

Take 6 of the stamens and fold a piece of wire in the centre folding the stamens upwards so they are all together. Pierce a hole through the centre of all of the flowers and thread the stamens through. Glue each laer in place.
