Let's get crafting!
Directions:
Step 1: Cut your card base to 6” x 12”. Score and fold at 3” and 9”. You’ll diecut one gatefold flap at a time using the Center Elegant Pocket Accents outline die along edge of card base, secure with tape. Place card base with die, on cutting plate, ensure the top cutting plate only covers the edge of the card up to, but avoiding, the inside arch blade of the die. Doing this ensures the outside outline is cut, but it avoids cutting the inside arch keeping it intact with the card base. Pass through diecutting machine. Repeat this on second gatefold flap. Using a scissors, snip the edges allowing you to discard the cutoffs.
Step 2: Place Center Elegant Pocket Accents decorative inlay on edge of card base, align with decorative edge and place on cutting plate. This time ensure the cutting plate only covers up to the fold of the card base. Doing this ensures nothing past the fold will be diecut. Repeat on second gatefold flap. Apply glue onto sponge and dab randomly onto Elegant Pocket Accents, then sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear glitter and allow to dry.
Step 3: Stamp bicycle and small suitcase from Cottage Lifestyle stamp set and potted tree from French Cottage ‘scapes stamp set in Archival Jet Black ink onto white cardstock. Diecut images with coordinating dies. Diecut 3 additional bicycles from white cardstock for laying.
Step 4: Color with Stack and Store Daubers, color the bicycle with Sunflower, Rose Madder and Coffee inks using Fantastix as needed in the smaller areas. Small suitcase with Coffee ink potted tree with Leaf Green and Olive inks, Coffee ink along the tree trunk and pot.
Step 5: On Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, stamp images from the French Cottage ‘scapes stamp set. Stamp the leafy vine using Olive ink, and small and large flowers using Rose Madder ink. You will need 6 small flowers and 6 large flowers.
Step 6: Color using Stack and Store Daubers, Color the leafy vine with Leaf Green, Olive and Coffee inks. Color the flowers with Sunflower in the center, then Deep Purple along the edges. Color backside of flowers as well in a tapping motion using Deep Purple ink. Shape leafy vine using Deluxe Flower Shaping kit.
Step 7: Pinch each flower along the tip of each petal. Then use a flower shaping mat and stylus to shape remaining parts of flowers. Shape 2 large flowers from the top side and one small flowers, into an open cup like form. Layer and adhere together with glue. Repeat this step to create another flower just like this. Shape 2 remaining large flowers on the backside, creating a bud like form, adhere two layers together. Shape 2 small flowers from top side and layer together. Then shape two remaining small flowers from back side creating 2 individual buds.
Step 8: Color white Bridal Stamens using daubers and Sunflower ink. Pierce the center of desired flowers and insert stamens, trim string and adhere on back with glue.
Step 9: Snip leafy vine into three pieces, this allows you to create the exact curve you desire, then arrange and adhere leafy vine and flowers onto gatefold card base. Adhere potted tree along the right using foam adhesive. Then layer stamped bicycle image along with 3 additional diecuts, to create a thicker bicycle and adhere on left side of flap.
Step 10: Cut pink paper from French Cottage paper pad at 5 3/4 x 5 3/4” and adhere on inside of card. Use ticket die from Ticket and Tags to diecut ticket image from paper pad. Stamp sentiment from For My Friend Sentiment stamp set using Rose Madder ink. Adhere sentiment using foam adhesive.
Step 11: Finally apply glue onto images as desired and sprinkle with Crystal glitter along, once dry, apply Crystal Lacquer onto bicycle frame for a glossy effect.
