Hey Friend!

Are you a crafter that loves to create gift boxes for your friends and family? Create a wow factor and add stunning foam Dahlia flowers creating a stunning gift box perfect for any occasion! All you need to do is decide what to place inside!

Our Crafters Say:

"They have the most beautiful stamps and dies! I’ve been buying up different bundles and having so much fun with them! I love the tutorials, and they’re so helpful for ideas. So glad I was introduced to this company!" - Angie Chisholm

"I love the way the dies are so precise and the stamps are such high quality. The papers are exquisitely designed. Their new shaping molds help me to make flowers and leaves so much faster than hand shaping. The company is very nice and so good at taking care of their customers." - Stephanie Beck

Let's get crafting!

Directions:

Step 1: Using the Treasured Heart Gift Box Die, cut 6 of the box sides, 6 of the lid panels, 6 of the decorative squares, 2 hexagon bases and 6 decorative hearts from the Dazzling Dahlia Paper Collection. Diecut the heart from each of the lid panels.

Step 2: Adhere the decorative squares and the lid panels to each side, fold at all of the score lines and adhere the sides together to create the box. Adhere one hexagon panel to the inside bottom of the box and the other to the outside bottom. Adhere the hearts using dimensionals to each of the sides. Interlock the box lid flaps to close.

Step 3: Stamp the flowers using the Dazzling Dahlia Cling Stamp Set on Art Foam paper using Ranger Archival Ink Pad - Plum and cut using the coordinating dies.

Step 4: Colour with Gallery soft oil pastels 259, 241. You will need 2-3 petals to create each flower. Use an iron or heat gun to heat the petals and when they start to shrink move them on the Molding Mat and press on the middle using the Deluxe Flower Shaping tool - using one of the larger ball tips. Pinch the tips of the petals.

Step 5: Layer the petals together using the hot glue gun, making sure to offset them, use a paper piercer to make a hole in the middle and pull through the stamens. Add a little hot glue to the underside of the flower to adhere.

TOP TIP:  If a flower petal tears, leave the torn piece for later. Assemble the flower as usual with the torn petal at the bottom. Turn the flower upside down and, using the hot glue gun, gently adhere the missing piece . When the glitter is added, you’ll never see it.

Step 6: Stamp the leaves using Dahlia and Leaves Cling Stamp Set on the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper with Memento Dye Ink Pad - Pistachio, cut out with the coordinating die, shade use this same ink and shape using the 3D Mold.

Step 7: Sponge the petals and leaves with dries clear adhesive, sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder. Can you find the torn petal?

Step 8: Adhere the Dahlias and leaves to the box lid using hot glue making sure not to glue the lid closed.

This flower is so beautifully realistic! I can't believe it! Thank you for sharing this project! And thank you for addressing the issue with torn petals. I think I now understand that it's not the worst thing that can happen, and it's usually totally redeemable.
