This tutorial covers the basics of Petunia flowershaping. Discover how to create fabulous Petunias with one stamp and die, skill level for beginner and up.

Step 1: Stamp the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut out with matching dies.

Step 2: Color with Lilac Posies Memento ink, Rouge Chalk ink and Dark Peony Chalk ink.

Once completed you're ready to shape it.

Beautifully designed, high quality products. Heartfelt Creations stamps, dies, and papers lit a card-marking fire under my feet! Love using these! –Theresa R

Step 3: Shape the flower! Use the 8 mm tip, 6 mm tip and your black mat from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Take the 8 mm and press down in a half moon shape on the back of each flower petal.

Flip the flower right side up and draw a line in the center with the 6 mm tip.

To get the flower shape, put the 8 mm tip in the center and press the flower up all around it.

Step 4: Hot glue the petals together by overlapping each petal.

Step 5: Take your stylus tip and pull the petals back a bit.

I love the petal shape on this petunia! Ruffling the edges is so easy and so beautiful. While I much appreciate that you have separated the petal sixes into large and small, I am greatly disappointed that the leaves are included on the same die as the petals. While this works well for those who use plain white cardstock, I prefer to use colored cardstock for all my flowers. A single die makes it so much more difficult to cut out just the flowers. or just the leaves. Please reconsider this engineering decision. Thanks!
