Let's get crafting!
Step 1: For the base of the tea box, cut two sheets of white cardstock 12 x 6 inches and diecut the two edges of the cardstock using the Regal Borders and Pockets Die. For extra strength adhere these two sheets of die cut cardstock together with clear drying glue and once dried properly, score at 5 1/4 inches.
Step 2: Choose patterned paper from the Sweet Peony Paper Collection and mat onto the white cardstock leaving a 1/4 inch border.
Step 3: For the inside box, cut white cardstock 10 x 7 inches. Score at 2 and 8 inches from the longest side and score at 2 and 5 inches from the smallest side.
Cut along the score lines on the two sides to the 2 inch space and apply tacky tape on the side flaps. Attach the side flap to the center part of the cardstock to create the box.
Step 4: Die cut white cardstock four times using the Sweetheart Borders Die and adhere the borders on the edges of the box with clear drying glue.
Step 5: Cover the inside and outside of the box with patterned paper from the Sweet Peony Collection.
Step 6: Apply tacky tape to the bottom and side of the box.
Step 7: Adhere the box to the base.
Step 8: To create the flowers, stamp white cardstock with Small Sweet Peony Cling stamp set using Archival Ink cobalt and die cut using coordinating die. Color the flower petals using the same color and make sure to color both sides of the petals.
Step 9: To create the leaves, stamp white cardstock using the leaves stamp from the Small Sweet Peony Cling Stamp set with Archival Ink Library Green and die cut using coordinating die. Color the leaves using Archival ink Olive and Colorbox ink Olive Pastel.
Step 10: Shape the flowers and leaves using the medium tool in the Groove Golf Tool Set. Or use the Flower shaping tools from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to shape the flowers which ever is your preference. Layer the flower petals together using clear drying glue, pierce the centers and add the stamens.
Top Tip: For a glossy finish on the leaves, apply a coat of Distress Rock Candy Paint.
Step 11: Once all the flowers and leaves are ready, arrange and adhere them as shown. Apply Glitter on the flowers. Cut out a sentiment from the paper collection and adhere to the base as shown. Add a variety of tea bags to the box.
