Another great class with Emma Lou. Working with vellum is a little intimidating for me, so I am very happy with what I learned in this class. She (Emma Lou) breaks everything down to make it so much easier to understand how to do. I love these classes (this was my 9th). I can't wait for the next class for all the tips and tricks that I know I will learn. -- Lori A
Thank you so much for offering these classes! I look forward to them every month. I love the opportunity to take these classes in my own home, but still have other crafter's and the instructor available for help if I need it. There are always so many good tips offered, too. Such a warm atmosphere! The new vellum paper is awesome! Heartfelt Creations, you're all the best! -- Susan H
Have a wonderful and creative day! Much Love, Emma Lou

Instructions: Cut white cardstock to 6 x 9", score and fold at 4 1/2" to create card base. Cut a soft patterned paper from the collection to 4 1/2 x 6" size. Use from the HCD2-7189 Eyelet Rectangle & Basics to cut an opening at an angle onto panel. Use from the same die set, to cut a rectangle eyelet border frame from white cardstock. Also cut a rectangle from the cozy winter scene to fit inside rectangle. Stamp the sentiment in Lilac Posies ink onto winter scene panel. Apply some Dries clear glue onto sponge and dab onto panel, winter scene and rectangle frame. Sprinkle with Frosting powder. Use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach panel, winter scene and frame onto card as shown.

For the sleigh and gifts, use Forget-me-not, Cactus Flower, Sunflower and Vivid Chartreuse inks. Use Cactus Flower on the poinsettia centers and a soft touch of Forget-me-not on the edges. For the branch, use Sunflower and Sepia. Use Cactus Flower, Forget-me-not, Vivid Chartreuse and Sunflower for the ornaments. Use Vivid Chartreuse and a touch of Forget-me-not for the pine sprays.
For a quick and easy shaping, use the poinsettia shaping mold to shape the poinsettias. For more tips on using the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE. Or if you prefer, you can use the shaping stylus instead, and use it to shape the rest of the images.
Fussy cut a few of the gifts on the sleigh for added dimension and layer sleigh onto top of main layer. Add more touches of the Frosting Powder before attaching everything onto card as shown. Use Dries Clear glue to add prills to the poinsettia centers.

Instructions: Ready gatefold card measures 7"x 7". Take a smooth white cardstock measuring 14"x 7". Score on 3.5" and 10.5" and create a gatefold card. For mating choose pattern paper from the designer paper collection and cut it 1/16" smaller from all 4 sides. Layer it on the inside of the card. Choose another pattern paper from the same collection and cut 2 pieces of same size. Layer it on the both side of flaps. Cut a window on the flaps using Eyelet Circle & Basics Small die. Also cut 6 frames from the white cardstock using Eyelet Circle & Basics Small die, glue them together and layer it as shown in the picture. Apply glue and add glitter over the frame. Cut 2 borders using decorative medallion die and 2 borders using Sweetheart border die from the white cardstock. Glue both borders as shown in the picture.
Stamp the poinsettia flower on the flower making paper using Cactus Flower ink and cut with coordinating die. Color the flowers using same ink along with daubers. Shape using the deluxe flower shaping kit. Layer three layers to create one flower, pierce the center and add the brad, then place stamens around brad. Stamp the pine leaves using Leaf Green ink. Cut the leaves with coordinating die. Dab VersaMark ink on leaves and poinsettia flowers, and heat emboss with white embossing powder, to give a frosty look. Arrange the flowers and leaves on the card and adhere them using hot melted glue. Add bead stamens, as filler flowers.
Cut a tag and a sentiment ticket from the same collection using the Luggage and tags die. Tie a cord on the tag and layer it on the card using dimensional tape. Also layer the sentiment ticket using dimensional tape for added dimension. Stamp the pine tree and ornamental image using Versamark and heat emboss them with silver embossing powder. Color the ornaments using Zig markers. Cut the images using coordinating dies and glue them inside of the card. Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment image using Versamark and heat emboss it with silver embossing powder. Cut with coordinating die and glue it on the inside flap of the card.
For the finished look, apply glitter on the flowers and borders using glue that dries clear.

Instructions: Card size: 6 1/2 x 6 1/2". Cut 1 piece of white 6 1/2 x 6 1/2" and another piece 6 1/2 x 7", score the 7" side at 1/2" (this will be a tab for gluing the 2 pieces together to make the hinge card base). Cut a piece of decorative paper 6 x 6" and then cut a 3 1/4" circle in the center. Cut a piece of Foam Sheet the same size with the circle in the center as well. (It is always best to let the foam rest after running through the die cutting machine, I usually let it rest over-night so that it can go back to its original size and shape, if you glue it before it has time to reform you will warp the panel because it will try to go back to shape but it has been glued, I hope you know what I mean).
When the foam has reformed glue it to the back of the decorative paper and glue it to the card base. Cut a piece of decorative paper to match the village die then cut a circle for the sky and put them together to form a circle. Lay it inside the raised panel. Use glue with fine tip to add glitter to trees and roof tops. Make a circle frame for the opening and also cut 2 Festive Holiday Decorative dies from white to use top and bottom of circle opening and glue. Stamp Festive Holly & Cardinals and sleigh with reindeer and sleigh extra piece with black Memento ink on white card stock and die cut. Stamp trees, pine boughs and holly leaves with Fern Green, Stamp pine cones with Rich Cocoa Memento and poinsettias with Magenta Hue. Sponge holly and pine boughs with Leaf Green, poinsettias with Brilliance Orchid and die cut all. Color Pine cones, bird and holly, sleigh and reindeer with Copics. Place poinsettias and holly in the shaping mold (up to 3 deep) mist with water between each set and run through the die cutting machine. Let dry thoroughly and then make flowers by gluing 2 blossoms together pushing down in the center. Add one set of holly underneath and then add gold Prills to the center.
Use the snow pen on the pine boughs, pine cones and trees, glitter then heat to puff. Glue the pieces onto the card front starting with the 2 taller trees on the left (add a bit of snow paste at the base of the trees), smaller trees part way up into the circle scene and then the sleigh and reindeer next on top of the tall trees. Glue the pine boughs on then the holly & Cardinal. Tuck the pine cones in and then glue poinsettias on.

Instructions: Liz Gaze has a video on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook page that showcases making shaped cards with the Botanical Window die. See the video here. Make the card base. Score and fold a piece of cardstock and slide the window die over the scored fold and cut out. This will create a hinge so your card will open and close. Cut another window and glue it over the folded piece and this gives the card all the decorative edges. I cut out the vertical strips on the front of the window and inserted one of the card front images so that you are looking out over a magical snow scene. I added glitter and set aside to dry. Dimensional tape was used to adhere to the front of the card.
Using VersaMark ink stamp the poinsettia and then emboss with the white powder. I then used a dauber and Lilac Posies ink to color the petals and cut out using the coordinating dies. I stamped all leaves and pine boughs with Stazon Olive Green ink and cut out using the coordinating dies. The holly leaves were colored with Bamboo Leaves Ink and a dauber. Run the leaves and flower petals through your die cutting machine using the 3D Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Glue the flower together and add the prills to the center and set aside to dry. Glitter the pine boughs and set aside to dry.
Find a ticket on the paper collection and cut out using the Luggage and Tags Dies. Use dimensional tape to adhere to the front of the card and then arrange the flowers and pine boughs around the ticket.

For more tips on creating with the Merry and Bright collection, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/6bgO6epBuBI.
Instructions: Click here to view a larger photo of this project. Take the 12 x 12" light blue sheet of cardstock and lay this on your scoring board, score at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, 10 inches. Fold all the score lines like a harmonica, you'll have 1 inch left - this is your glue tab. Take your bone folder and press it really flat, then put marks on each corner at 1/2 inch, 1 3/4 inches and at 3 inch, then go 1 inch up on the 1 3/4 inch and draw a line, then you go to the 1/2 mark and connect them and also to the 3 inch mark and connect it then you have a V shape on each corner, you can cut them out, all 4 of them, (I will put a photo on my blog). Now unfold it and fold it back like a box and glue the ends together, let it dry and now close the ends with a ribbon, make a nice bow on it!
Take the pattern paper you like and cut at 2 1/4 x 6". Ink the edges with Teal Zeal Ink and glue them on the sides of your box. Cut a strip of gold paper at 3/4" wide and wrap it around the box. Take the Noel Ornament Die and die cut out of gold paper and glue this on top of the box, wrap the end over the edges off the box.
Stamp some Pine Branches from the Snowy Pine Village with Rich Cocoa on white cardstock. Color them with Bamboo Leaves ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Stamp some Pinecones from the Merry and Bright Accents with Rich Cocoa ink on white cardstock. Color them with Sepia and Rich Cocoa inks, die cut with the coordinating die. Stamp some Holly Leaves from the Festive Holly and Cardinals with Jet Black ink on white cardstock and color with the Bamboo Leaves and Leaf Green inks. Then put some Nuvo drops on the place where the berries are, let them dry.
Stamp the Sparkling Poinsettia with Rhubarb Stalk ink on white cardstock, die cut with the coordinating die. Color very lightly with the Cactus Flower ink at the edge a little bit darker. Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Glue 2 of each on top of each other and make a hole in the center and insert your stamens.
Now you can make a nice arrangement on top of the ornament die. Take your brush and put some gesso on top of the leaves, flowers and pine cones, you can also sponge it. Finally, take some glue and add that onto the flower, then sprinkle some of the Krystallos Shard Glass for a nice and shiny effect.

Stamp the nativity characters and colour using copics. Die cut and lightly shape.
Select a paper from the pad for the card background and cut a square slightly smaller than 5", edge with Highland Heather ink and adhere to the back section of the card. Using the aperture on the front part of the card as a guide, position the nativity and secure into place with foam pads.
Stamp the pine needles in Soft Suede ink on white card and colour using Pear Pizzazz and Sahara Sand ink. Die cut and shape the pine needles using the flower shaping kit. Position a few of these around the crib using hot glue - retain 3 or 4 for the front of the card.
Adhere the 2 strips of paper to the front edges of the card and glue the front and back pieces of the card together.
Stamp the branches in soft suede onto white card and colour the branches in Sahara Sand ink. Colour the ornaments in copics to co-ordinate with the characters. Add glitter where the snow is shown on the branches. Shape and add to the top of the card using wet glue.
Add the shepherds and angels using hot glue.
Die cut the sentiment and position at the front of the card with the remaining pine needles. Tie a sparkly bakers twine bow to finish.
