Our crafters say:
"This is the the best company for original, intricate and gorgeous floral dies (and more) with free detailed instructions, customer service and beautiful inspiring project images. There is no company who's products compare. The quality and design of the red rubber stamps, cutting does, packaging, how the paper pads are formatted to offer several sizes of images, tags, backgrounds and sentiments are all just outstanding." - Terri Wolak Cannell
" I absolutely love Heartfelt Creations, they make it so easy to make beautiful flowers and gorgeous cards. I found Heartfelt Creations about 2 years now. Like I said l love Heartfelt Creations. I live in my craft room where I create beautiful cards and flowers. The new flowers molds are wonderful but l still love molding my own roses and flowers too. Plus the online classes are fantastic; you can go back and watch over and over, in case you had missed something. Emma Lou is a wonderful teacher and explains everything without making it hard to follow. Keep up all your beautiful creations, Heartfelt Creations." - Judy Heit
Let's get crafty and learn how to create a special Layered Shadow Box Trinket Holder. It's a project that can be placed on a dresser or desk to hold small trinkets or could even be used to hold a Post It notepad.
Directions
Step 1 Start with the base from the 6" x 6" Layered Circle Cards in white and the Pocket/Flipfold Insert B in white, using the one which is 15 1/2" x 6 1/4" fully extended and includes four sections of flipfolds.
Step 2 Fold the Pocket/Flipfold Insert B at the 6 1/4" score mark and place fold at zero on the Scor-Pal and score Insert B at 1".
Step 3 Cut a piece of white cardstock 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". Lay the spine of 6" x 6" Layered Circles Card base into the valley created with the new score mark. Fold the remaining Flipfold Insert B as shown. Insert 6 1/4 " x 6 1/4 " cardstock between the back of Layered Circles Card and Flipfold Insert B as shown and adhere with Dries Clear Adhesive. Secure with binder clips while the glue dries. Also using design paper from the Lush Lilac Collection, cut three green strips of paper to 5 3/4 " x 3/4 ", sponging the edges with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink and adhere to spine as shown with Dries Clear Adhesive.
Step 4 Cut a 6" x 6" card front from the Lush Lilac Paper Collection and sponge the edges with Sweet Plum Memento Ink. With Sweet Plum Memento Ink stamp the "A gift from the heart" sentiment from the Heartfelt Love Sentiment stamp set on the card front. On design paper cut from the Lush Lilac Paper Collection with Northern Pine Memento Ink stamp the "For My Friend" sentiment and adhere to card front as shown. Adhere entire 6" x 6" card front to the very front of the Trinket Holder with Dries Clear Adhesive.
Step 5 To decorate the bottom panel and box, cut a 6" x 6" piece of paper from the Lush Lilac Paper Collection. Die cut the center image using the coordinating die from the Cut Mat Create 2A die set and use a straight edge trimmer or X-acto knife to cut a square along the edge of the design paper to fit the Shadow Box 2 from the Card Shadow Box Set. Sponge the edges of the design paper with coordinating colored inks in Bamboo Leaves, New Sprout and Grape Jelly Memento Inks.
Step 6 Adhere design paper as shown and add pearls on the inside of the shadow box to help keep the Post It Notes or trinkets in place.
Step 7 Die cut a piece of White Cardstock with the Eyelet Heart Infused Border Die from the Heartfelt Love Die set and sponge the edges with Lulu Lavender Memento Ink. Add a small amount of Dries Clear Adhesive to a Hydro Sponge and sponge on the Border Die cut and then add Blue Rain Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Adhere border to the top of the shadow box. Decorate the top of the box the same as the bottom, sponging the design paper with Toffee Crunch, Lulu Lavender and Grape Jelly Memento Inks, with the coordinating colored design paper.
Step 8 On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink from the Wildwood Cottage Accents Stamp Set stamp two of the grass images; from the Woodsy Wonderland Stamp Set stamp the log image, the rocks image, the flowers image and the butterfly image; from the Woodsy Critter Stamp Set stamp the bunnies image and the squirrels image; from the Song of Spring Stamp Set stamp the bird on a branch image; from the Rain Boots and Blossoms Stamp Set stamp the bell flowers, the round flowers and two of the lilacs. Die cut all with their coordinating dies. Color all using the Stack and Store Daubers and Fantastix, as needed. Color all grass and greenery using New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, Pistachio and Olive Grove Memento Inks. Color flowers using Rose Coral Chalk Ink, Sunflower Yellow Pearlescent and Orchid Brilliance Inks, Lulu Lavender and Sweet Plum Memento Inks. Color the bunny using London Fog Memento Ink and Orchid Brilliance Ink. Color the squirrel and nut using Toffee Crunch, Peanut Brittle and Potter's Clay Memento Inks. Color the birdie with Summer Sky and Danube Blue Memento Inks, along with Toffee Crunch and Peanut Brittle Memento Inks on the belly and a touch of Sunflower Yellow Pearlescent on the beak. Color the butterflies with Sweet Plum Memento Ink, Sunflower Yellow Pearlescent and Orchid Brilliance Inks and the butterfly body with Toffee Crunch Memento Ink. The tree branch and log with Toffee Crunch, Peanut Brittle, Potter's Clay and Rich Cocoa Memento Inks.
Step 9 Use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to lightly shape all the die cuts and adhere die cuts as shown. Embellish as desired with Art Glitter Ultrafine Glitter in Blue Rain, Baby's Breath, Lichen, Clementine, Wildwood and Mona Lisa; Art Glitter Elements in Redland; Flower Soft in Fuchsia, Sage, Citrus Crush and Raspberry Fizz; Ranger Stickles - Yellow.
Tip When adding different colors of glitter always start with adding the lightest color of glitter first, so if any small amount accidently drops off into the next color of glitter, it will not ruin your light glitter colors.
Step 10 On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink using the Lush Lilac Stamp Set stamp the blossoms three times and stamp the swirl image twice; using the Lush Lilac and Umbrella Spray Stamp Set stamp the lilac branch, the lilac floral image and the butterfly; using the Sweet Lilac Scroll and Notes Stamp Set stamp the lilac floral image. Die cut all with coordinating dies. Color leaves with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Memento Inks and color lilac images with Lulu Lavender and Grape Jelly Memento Inks. Color half of the lilac petals with Lulu Lavender and Grape Jelly Memento Inks and color the other half of the lilac petals with Lulu Lavender Ink and Warm Violet Chalk Ink.
Step 11 On White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink using the Small Camelia Carnation stamp set, stamp several carnation petals and die cut with the coordinating dies. Using the Stack and Store Daubers color the carnation petals with Lulu Lavender and Grape Jelly Memento Inks.
Step 12 Lay the lilac petals colored side down in the Lush Lilac Shaping Mold and the carnation petals colored side down in the Floral Basics Shaping Floral Mold. Mist lightly with water and run through the die cutting machine to shape petals quickly.
Step 13 Use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to shape the lilac die cuts and adhere petals as desired.
Step 14 Adhere florals as desired, using Dries Clear adhesives as Double Dots as needed.
Step 15 With Dries Clear Adhesive add Blue Rain and Baby's Breath Glitter to all the lilacs. Finish by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow to the center of each lilac petal.
Step 16 To finish creating the easel, cut two pieces of seam binding 8" long. Adhere one piece of ribbon to the center of spine and adhere the other piece of ribbon to the end of the Flipfold at the center. Cut two strips of the design paper to 6 1/4 " long and adhere to spine and Flipfold to cover the ends of the ribbon.
Step 17 Tie ribbon together in a bow to support shadow box and to hold up easel at desired angle.
