Hey friends we have a fabulous tutorial for you today from our lovely designer Monica Edwards! It's our very first tutorial for 2018! Are you ready to get crafting this year?

Learn how you can easily make stunning roses everytime for all of your projects with the Flower Shaping Molds. Roses are a perfect flower embellishment for all of your Valentine projects, February 14th will be here very soon!

Our crafters say...

"I took a heartfelt Rose class when your team came to PA this July - changed my crafting forever" -Maria Pane

"I have those elegant border dies and wow! They change your work from card to MASTERPIECE!!!!!!"-Deb Zapata

"I love my HC sets ! They are so versatile and easy to use. I love the fact that they are stamp/die sets so I get matching images. Keep up the good work." -Shar Burgin

Let's get started and have some crafty fun together!

Directions

Step 1

Stamp the Classic Rose flower in Teal Zeal Memento ink onto paper from the Blushing Rose Paper Collection.

Die cut the flowers with the Classic Rose die and using the Stack and Store Daubers shade the flower with the inks.

Step 2

Shape your flowers using the 3D Rose Shaping mold. Place the diecuts into the mold, gently spritz and put the top of the mold in place.

Run through your diecutting machine (See a list here to see if your machine is compatable with the molds https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/flower-shaping-molds/compatibility ) and then tip the flowers out of the mold ready to be put together.

Step 3

Layer your flowers together. Create different effects by using single layers or multiple layers of sizes together.

Step 4

Using the pierecing tool and mat from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Tool Kit make a hole in the centre of your flowers and add stamens.

TOP TIP: Use a small dab of glue as you push your stamens through the hole so that they adhere in place.

Step 5

Use your flowers to decorate your projects! Monica has made this stunning Tag Box a perfect gift for your loved ones this Valentines Day!

To make the tag box Monica did the following:

Take your craft knife and cover the individual pieces of a MDF tag box using your Blushing Rose papers be sure to cut any excess paper using your craft knife. Glue your box together using super glue which gives it a nice strong hold and cover your photo tags using your chosen papers from the collection.

For the tags they were covered with papers from the paper collection. For the first tag use your oval die and cut out the sentiment from the Heartfelt Love collection to mat the sentiment using the black cardstock in the next size up oval die. To make the tag with the Classic Rose flowers stamp the flowers using the smaller stamp set then cut out using the coordinating die. Each flower will be two layers. Now place your diecut flowers into your rose shaping mold spritz each with a touch of water and run through your diecut machine. Remove from the mold and allow to dry. If you want to add additional shape to the flowers do so before they are dried. Now using your dauber sponge faded jeans onto the edges and sponge the center using peacock feathers. Glue the layers staggered and pierce the centers to glue your stamens through the centers. Adhere to your tag.

Decorate each of the additional tag as desired. I created photo holders using the various frames the paper collection. Cut out centers for the photos then simply add a piece of acetate to the backs and foam tape for height. You now have place holders for photos.

There wasn't a second ink color in the supplies list and yet there were two colors on the roses. What was the second color used on the edges of the roses? They are beautiful.

Thanks for the tutorial. I've gotten the molds but haven't used them yet (preferring the focus from the long way.) With your encouraging tutorial I'm going to use the mold for multiple valentine's day cards. I love all my heartfelt products. Now the lectures and written tutorials are perfect! Thanks a bunch.
