Purse Envelope/Notelet Holder Tutorial

Love the different collections, the papers are so pretty and they make beautiful projects -Allison Almeida

Create a project you can give as a gift or sell at a craft fair! This purse is so versatile you can use it as a notelet holder or as add a wow factor and use it as an envelope to give a hand delivered card in! The measurements are different but the process is the same, follow this step by step tutorial to create both options! Have the purse ready to decorate in 20 mins!

Directions for the Notelet Holder (This is wide enough to include 6 A2 envelopes and cards)

Step 1 Using paper from the paper pad cut a piece of paper  6½" x 11".

TOP TIP Cut and adhere another piece of paper to the back for a contrasting effect.

Step 2 Score along the 11" side of the paper at ¾", 5¼", 6" and 10½"

Step 3 Turn the paper around and score at ¾"

Step 4 Cut between the score lines at either and in the centre as in the picture above.

Step 5 Using a circle punch or die cut a semi circle from the centre of the front of the purse.

Step 6  Fold along all the score lines and adhere the base and side of the purse.

Step 7 Cut two strips 10" x 1" for the handles and adhere to the purse.

TOP TIP If you have adhered a contrasting piece of paper for the inner of the purse then do the same here for the handles.

Step 8 Decorate your purse, I used a tag from the paper pad and some Petunia flowers. See how to make Petunia flowers in this video. I also glittered my paper.

Step 9 Make 6 notelets from the paper pad and place inside the purse with 6 envelopes.

Here is another sample for your inspiration using the Wildwood Cottage collection!

Directions for Purse Envelope

If you are hand delivering a card add an extra wow and create this purse to fit a card using the card fronts from the paper pad.

Follow the same steps above but cut your paper to 6¼" x 10¾" and score at the following ¾", 5", 5¾" and 10" and at ¾” along the longer side and decorate as you choose.

Here is another other purse for your inspiration too using the Flowering Dogwood collection!

I absolutely love the products. I am a painter by nature and scrapbooking/cardmaking is my second love. Your products make creating beautiful cards and layouts quick and easy. Almost easier than painting them, lol. -Tarma Van Aiken

Love, love, love this purse envelope!! I've already made two this week for cards that I've given. The receivers of the purse envelopes and the cards inside were in awe and loved them. I'll be making 2 more for Father's Day cards. They are a perfect way to hand deliver a Heartfelt Creations card.

This project is the greatest!!! I read the instructions (very good-very clear!!) and went to the table and made 2 in a few minutes - minus embellishments. I even used the piece that's leftover after you cut the original purse and made a shorter purse and just added lace to the top - the cards & envelopes stick out a bit 1-1/2" but so what! Then dug into stash and embellished them with jewels, flowers and tags. Such a great and quick project. Thank you so much.
