Hi Friend,

Happy Wednesday! How is your day going? Is this week going exactly as planned and fun memories being made or do you find yourself swallowed up in a mountain of cares or concerns with pressures from work, family, health, or just life in general.....

If you said yes, to any of the above stressing life situations....I want to encourage you to take a moment for yourself and take some time to create something beautiful! This will allow you to de-stress and lose yourself in the wonderland of creativity....and maybe in the process of creating, think about someone that needs to know that you care and bless them with your one of a kind card. You will find yourself rejuvenated and there's just something so satisfying when you see your friend's face or even someone you don't know well, completely light up and be so grateful for your kind gift!

To get you jump-started for your next card, take  some time to be inspired by the new inspiration that has never been seen before......you WILL be SOOO inspired.....I'm needing to wipe the drool off my face, lol:)

If you missed out on the Monkeying Around release, follow this link:  http://hcgo.co/MonkeyingAround to see all the details and get yours today and you will be on your way to joining the hundreds of crafters who are already having fun creating with this new collection.

Watch this video https://youtu.be/IDC6cnO7OZI for tips on using the border basics dies. Watch this video https://youtu.be/rdsIOVMXjIQ to learn how to create flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Instructions: View a larger project image here. I created this projects by using the circle scrap die cuts that were left creating the Tunnel Album, I shared last week. If you missed checking it, you can check it out HERE. Choose pattern paper from the Monkeying around collection for the back and front of all the circle cut outs. Stick them on the front side and keep the ones cut for back aside for later use. Also, choose the pattern paper to create circular pockets using Fleur Border Die. Paste a white decorative edge on the inside of each circular panel. Create few tags and photo mats from the same paper collection. All the panels are attached from the back using twine with the help of hot glue. In between all the panels, a small foldable joint is created by pasting two embossed coconuts and few embossed bananas back to back keeping the twine in the center and gluing using hot glue. To make it look fancier, I added beads in between. Cover the backs of all panels with designer paper. On the top panel make a loop and attach it to the back of the panel. On the smallest panel attach a hanging created using flower, beads, embossed bananas and coconuts. I kept the project all without glitter and tried giving it a raw look.

For embellishing stamp multiple images of a palm tree with Library Green archival ink and color it using Fern Green and Olive Green. Coconuts have been stamped with Coffee brown archival and colored using vintage photo. Bananas are stamped using Coffee Archival and painted using Sunflower Archival ink. Coconuts and Bananas are softly embossed using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Stamp multiple flowers from Wildwood Floral Stamp set with Plum and paint them using Tea rose archival. Shape the flowers using deluxe flower shaping kit. Cut a few images from Designer paper using their coordinating dies to make extra embellishments. Stamp few images of hanging monkeys and paint them using Zig Clear Brush Markers. Once all the embellishments are ready, assemble the door hanging creating a monkeying around scene on all the panels.

Watch this video https://youtu.be/rdsIOVMXjIQ to learn how to create flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Instructions: View a larger project image here. This is a project that can be done in stages. My first step was to prepare my board. I painted my pine board with 2 coats of beige paint and let dry completely. Using a ruler and a brown Sharpie, I then added the ruler markings. I started at 6", and went all of the way up the board. This allows the board to be mounted to a wall above any baseboard. Once the board markings are in place, I added the large numbers using stencils, brown paint and a foam stencil brush. Let dry completely. I then added the name using Sharpie freehand.

Stamp and die cut 12-15 large palm leaves. I added colour to these using ink and daubers. Stamp and die cut 6-8 small palm leaves. I added colour to these using Chameleon pens. I wanted the 2 sized leaves to have a bit of difference in colour. Shape your palms.

Stamp and die cut 6-8 of the floral clusters. I added colour to them using Chameleon pens. Shape the flowers. I added gold Prills to the middle of each flower using 3D Crystal Lacquer. Stamp and die cut 1 palm tree. I added colour to this using Chameleon pens. Shape the palms of the tree. Stamp and die cut 3 coconuts. I added colour using Chameleon pens. Shape and add foam tape to the back of each.

Stamp and die cut 1 of each of these monkeys: hanging banana monkey, cuddling monkeys, monkeys on vines, monkey on a swing, double hanging monkey and small monkey with hands up. I added colour to all of the monkeys using dual brush markers. I didn't do any shaping with my monkeys.

Using brown string I created multiple strings of vines. I simply tied knots about 1" apart. I started hot gluing embellishments to my board using the string vines first. I created 2 swags at the top of the board. Then added palm leaves and coconuts. I cut apart some of the flowers and added them throughout the palm leaves. I added the hanging banana monkey and the double hanging monkeys to this top cluster. One hanging from a palm leaf, and one hanging from the string. I also added a couple of coconuts into the palm leaf clusters.

The second cluster of embellishment falls just below the name on the board. I added the monkey in a vine swing hanging from the first letter of the name on the board. I added string vines coming from the number 5 over to the side of the board. I added the monkeys on vines just below this. I added a cluster of palm leaves up the side of the board, as well as flowers. Last but not least I added the small monkey and coconut in the middle of the palm cluster.

The third cluster of embellishments start with 2 swags of string vines. Then I added a cluster of palms with flowers in the middle. Add the cuddling monkeys using 3D foam tape and hot glue. Add the palm tree to the side of the cluster.

Adhere the palm branches to the top right of the bow, then the pair of monkeys. Add one of the flowers from the flower border to above the monkey’s ear. To finish apply stickles to the flowers.
