Watch this video https://youtu.be/rdsIOVMXjIQ to learn how to create flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Instructions: To make the base of the Tiki Hut take a piece of Kraft Card Stock 8" x 10 1/2" in size. Place on your score board with the long side at the top and score at the 3" and 7 1/2" marks, flip to the short edge and score at the 3" and 5" marks. This will give you a box 4 1/2" wide x 3" tall and 2" deep. The roof was made by taking a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock and scoring in the middle at the 2" mark. Using hot glue, attach the dowels to the roof and also to the base of your Tiki Hut and allow time to dry. The Tiki Hut was completed by attaching panels cut from the Monkeying Around Paper Collection on all sides.

The Monkeys and Coconuts were all stamped on white card stock using Vintage Sepia ink, die cut with the matching dies and then colored with Pebbles Classic Chalks. The palm leaves were stamped on white card stock using Vintage Sepia and die cut with the matching dies before distressing with Bamboo Leaves ink. The flowers were then stamped on white card stock with Versamark, heat embossed with Superfine White Embossing Powder and cut with the matching die before distressing with Rose Coral and Dandelion inks and shaping with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. To complete the flowers, the centers were accented with Seafoam Stickles.

Other Products: White & lime green cardstock, foam tape, Washi or low tack tape, 1/2" round punch, Spellbinders Classic Circles Small, Nuvo Crystal Drops- Apple Green, Glossy Accents, Diamond Stickles, Copic markers: E00, 000, 0000, R00, 000, 30, RV00, E79, 74, 71, 70, YG67, & 63, G20, Y11, 17, & YR21

Instructions: Make a 5" X 7" card from white cardstock, 10" X 5", score at 5" and fold. Cut a lime green mat 4 7/8" X 6 7/8". Cut a designer print piece from paper pad 4 3/4" X 6 3/4". Use the second and third circle from spellbinders dies and tape them together to form a frame, I use Washi tape for this step. Tape the frame onto designer paper card front 1 7/8" from the left side and tape in place. Run this through your cutting machine. Stamp your sentiment on smaller circle cut out. Lay card front onto green mat, DO NOT glue in place. Using card front as a guide, match up design in paper and glue circle frame to green mat. Add foam tape to back of card front, making sure not to get too close to center hole, as this will impede movement of the spinner part of this card. Line up the design of the paper to the circle frame and adhere to green mat. Punch four 1/2" circles of white cardstock. Using double foam, cut to small 1/4" pieces and stick two circles together. Tuck one side of these under the circle cut out. Add foam tape to sentiment circle being careful not to get any closer than 1/2" from edge. Slip this piece under the edge of white circle dots and line up designer paper pattern and press in place. This is what creates the spinner motion.

On white cardstock, stamp one palm tree, five extra palm tree leaves by inking only top of trees. You will cut these away from hanging coconuts, leaving the whole tree as is. Stamp one monkey face, one tail hanging monkey set, two coconuts, & two bananas. Color bananas using Y11, 17, & shade with YR21. Color coconuts with G20 adding strokes of YG62 and Y17. Color monkeys flesh with E00, 000, & 0000, cheeks with R30, & RV00. Color tongue with R00, 000, & R30. Leave teeth white then color lips with R00, & 000. Color Monkey fur using E79, 74, 71, & 70. Color palm tree bark using E79, 74, & 71. Color fronds using YG67, & 63, hanging coconuts on tree with G20, & E70. Slightly curl monkey face head and chin, then curl ears up. Push two small white dots together and add a drop of glue to each one. Center monkey face and press down slightly. Do not over glue, you don’t want glue to leak out and stick face to circles. Use the 8mm tip to curl palm fronds and trim away the leaves from the nuts on all but the whole tree. Fold fronds in center slightly. Add a drop of glue on center of two fronds an pinch together. Glue three frond sets to left side as pictured, making sure top frond is one that is glued together. Glue the whole tree to the right as pictured, and glue two fronds to the tree making sure the top one is center glued. Add two bananas to the bottom left with foam tape or pop-dots. Add two coconuts to bottom right with foam tape or pop-dots. Attach monkeys by curling top tail into a frond, and adding foam tape to bottom monkey to stand on coconut. Apply glossy accents to monkey eyes and tongue. Add stickles to flowers printed on designer paper. Add green crystal drops to finish the card. HINT: I make all my crystal drops or liquid pearls on waxed paper, allow to dry and peel off to glue to cards to avoid any mistakes of globs.

Instructions: Use the brown patterned paper as your background. Cut white cardstock to 11" x 11" and the yellow patterned paper to 10.75" x 10.75". Cut a strip of the dark green patterned paper to 3" x 10.75", and a piece of the light patterned paper to  2" x 10.75". Adhere the 2 strips together and adhere to the middle of the yellow patterned paper. Adhere the yellow patterned paper to the white cardstock layer. Add the mesh ribbon to the layered border across the layout and adhere in the back of the cardstock. Adhere all of the layers to the brown patterned paper.

Stamp and die cut 9 of the floral images. Stamp and die cut one of the hanging monkeys. Stamp and die cut one of the hammock monkeys. Stamp and die cut 3 bananas. Shape your floral pieces.

Trace a large circle onto your layered background. (If you do not have a large circle template to use, a dinner plate or large bowl will often do the trick.) I used hot glue to adhere the floral pieces around the traced circle, you could also use a liquid adhesive if you prefer. In between each floral piece I added a wooden embellishment. Erase any pencil marks that still show. Add the hanging monkey die cut to the upper right hand part of your floral circle, using 3D foam tape. Add the monkey in a hammock to the bottom left hand corner of your layout, also using 3D foam tape.

Cut a strip of the polka dot patterned paper that is 2.5" x 7" and adhere up the middle of the layout. Cut a strip of the lighter green patterned paper that is 1" x 8" and adhere on top of the polka dot patterned paper. I cut the photo to 4" x 4" and matted it in white, green and then brown cardstock. I added photo corners to the photo and adhered it to the layout using 3D foam tape. Find and cut out the “I'm Bananas Over You” sentiment. Add a banana to each end and adhere just below your matted photo. Using liquid adhesive I added gold Prills to the middle of each flower.

Instructions: Begin with the shadowbox from the black 6" x 6" Foldout Cards set. Add a background designer paper to the shadowbox, then using the front opening as a template, trace around it and hand trim a front panel. Stamp each element from the collection onto Cryogen Metallic paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, beg1n to build the scene. There are 3 fins in the bottom of the shadow box to which you can adhere the images. Add a lot of palm fronds as well as the top of one of the coconut trees for ground cover. Then add all the monkeys. The stamped image in the front right does not have a matching die but it is quite simple to hand trim. Instructions: The ready album measures 8" by 8". The album has the total of 8 pages. Take 8 pieces black chipboard. Using first five dies from Spellbinders Grand circle die, cut windows from first 5 pages exactly in the center and keep the last page aside without cutting. Now choose pattern paper for all the pages from the designer paper collection. Similarly cut windows from designer paper too. You will have to cut 2 papers for one page. That means one will be used on the front side and the other will be used on the back side. Adhere pattern paper on all the 6 pages of chipboard with tacky glue. Hand tear a strip of 8" by 2.5" of white cardstock as shown in the picture and create a background by distressing the strip using Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo. Add extra textures by stamping it with Large Elegant Word Background Cling Stamp a postcard stamp from Moments with you stamp set. Heat emboss a little script with gold if needed. Create 10 such backgrounds for all the 5 pages and adhere them on the base of each page. Arrange all the pages, keeping the one with the largest window on the top and the one without any window on the last. Make holes on all pages using Crop-A-Dile.

For embellishing stamp multiple images of a palm tree with Library Green archival ink and color it using Fern Green and Olive Green. Coconuts have been stamped with Coffee brown archival and colored using vintage photo. Bananas are stamped using Coffee Archival and painted using Sunflower Archival ink. Instructions: Cut heavy white card stock at 5 1/2" x 11" and score at 5 1/2" to create a top fold card. Cut blue card stock at 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Cut X-Press It Blending Card Stock or any Copic compatible card stock at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". This will be trimmed later to 5" x 5".

Stamp the monkey image on X-Press It paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The stamp is large so I used the largest acrylic block. Apply tape around the edges on a solid board to prevent the paper from warping. Bokeh technique will work best if you create the background prior to coloring the focal image. Roughly color areas of the background with Copic B21, B91, B45, YG63, RV63. Get good coverage but it does not need to be smooth. Take a large Q-Tip and dip in 70% alcohol and place on paper for 3 seconds and lift. Repeat process and allow enough room so the circles to not run into each other. When dry, repeat the process in sporadic areas allowing the circles to overlap. This will be repeated in a few areas so some of the bokeh appear to be in the foreground and others in the background. Allow to dry. Be careful to not allow the alcohol circles to run into your focal image. Start the process in the outer edges so you can get the feel of how much the alcohol spreads at 3 second. Touch up the areas around the image with B21 and B91. Allow the background to dry.

Remove the masking tape and trim at 5" x 5". Sponge the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Place a clean sheet of paper under your image and color your focal image. The Monkey was colored with Copic E40, E41, E44, E47, E49 and Colorless Blender for texture. The leaves and fern were colored with Copic G28, G40, YG61, YG63. Adhere the layers.

Add the two palm trees using dimensional tape to pop them up a bit. Swing the hammock between the two trees using more of the dimensional tape. Use more of the dimensional tape for the two monkeys at the base of the palm tree. Stamp, cut out and color the swinging monkeys and glue them down in the tree tops. Next I cut out the sentiment and used dimensional tape to adhere it to the other palm tree. I sort of cocked it up to make it look like it had been nailed onto the tree truck at an angle.

Instructions: This card when completed measures 7" x 8 1/4". The measurements for this card are as follows. The card base: 11 12/16" x 8 1/4", make folds at 7" and 9 5/16" along the longer edge. The card foot will then measure 2 5/16" x 8 1/4" when the folds are folded into hill and valley folds. Cut the card front 6 11/16" x 5 1/2", the slider 2 3/4" x 4 1/4". Taking the brown cardstock, cut matting for the card foot, card front and card background about 1/8". Adhere to the card base, but please NOTE, for the card front, adhere only the sides and bottom of the brown cardstock to the card base, leaving the top open. For the cards design paper matting, cut this also 1/8 of an inch smaller than the brown matting. For the card front, find the framed print in the paper collection, cut out and adhere to with 3d foam dots or tape. Taking the slider, matt it the same as the card base and foot. Adhere only up to half an inch of the top of the slider to the center of the card base background. Slip the slider in between the brown cardstock and card front base. The slider will now allow the card to stand when pulled a little. This slider card is strong enough to hold a lot of 3d embellishments when placed.

Find and cut the sentiment also from the collection papers. Make two holes for the twine. Thread the twine through the holes and tie a knot on each end, this will be later adhered so the monkeys will be holding it. Stamp, color and die cut the monkeys, flower borders and palm branches from the matching stamp and die sets. Coloring was done as follows using Noir Color Pencils: Palm branches: 047, 102, 058, Monkey: 100, 008, 026, 101, 098, Flowers: 009, 058, 047, 110. For the flower borders and monkeys cut 4 extra for each image, cut 2 extra for the palm branches. Stack and adhere the stamped images so they form chipboard. When the glue is dry, arrange and adhere in place. Tuck the twine under the monkey's hands. Apply the crystal lacquer to the monkeys and stickles to the flowers.
