Paw Print Floral Gift Box

Paw Print Floral Gift Box

Other Products: White Cardstock, Canson Watercolor Paper, White Embossing Powder, VersaMark Ink

Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdsIOVMXjIQ to learn how to create flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Instructions: Box is 2" X 4". I used this tutorial using the dimensions given. Next I cut pieces of the paper collection and covered the 4 sides of the box and the top as well. Next I cut some panels to glue over the top of that with pictures of the little dogs on them. Next I cut the decorative piece from the paper collection and glued it along the bottom of the box and also one to glue to the top of the box so it just peeps out from under the lid.

The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper with VersaMark Ink, embossed with white embossing powder and colored with New Sprout. Die cut flowers with matching die and shape with Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Add the green Prills and set aside to dry.

Stamp the leaves with Rich Cocoa on watercolor paper, cut out, color with New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves Inks, shape the leaves and set aside. Next I stamped the little paw prints along one side of the box and added glue and prills to give the little paws dimension. The next step is to glue the flowers and leaves onto the top of the box. Once you have done this your box is finished. It can be used to hold a small gift or even some dog treats if you like.

Other Products: Heavy weight white card stock, navy blue card stock, X-Press It Blending Card Stock, light yellow card stock, olive green card stock, Misty, double sided tape, paper trimmer, mini mister, colored pencils: browns, Copic alcohol ink markers: E11, E31, E33, E35,  E15, Y11, R20, R22, R24, B00, B21, B24, RV11, RV32, RV34, G21, YG63, YG68, pink and white Bakers Twine, Champagne Glitter Pen, heat tool and Versamark Ink Pad

Watch this video https://youtu.be/Z8P070kC3oo to learn how to create dimensional roses with the Classic Rose Collection.

Instructions: The card base was cut at 5 1/2" x 11" heavy weight white card stock. Using the Scor-Pal Measuring & Scoring Board, score at 5 1/2" and fold away from the groove to prevent cracking.

The base layer was cut at 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" using navy blue card stock. The designer paper was selected from the Pampered Pooch Collection and cut at 5" x 5". I chose to cut another set of layers to adhere to the inside. I adhered the layers using double sided tape. (The double sided tape will allow the layers to securely adhere to the card base even when heavier flower arrangements are applied.)

The pooch image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card Stock. The image was coloring with the following Copic Markers E11, E31, E33, E35,  E15, Y11, R20, R22, R24, B00, B21, B24, RV11, RV32, RV34, G21, YG63, YG68. I love texture so I added brown colored pencils to the puppy on top of the Copic markers. (Avoid coloring over the pencil with your Copic markers.) I loved the bubbles that was on the image so I added a few more bubbles for fun.

The focal image and mat were cut using Cut Mat Create 2B and 2A die. I also cut an additional white mat for the inside of the card to allow space for a personal message.

The Sentiment was die cut from the designer paper collection using the Luggage and Tags Die.

The Classic Rose Collection was stamped on light yellow card stock using a Versamark Ink Pad and Ranger Embossing Powder - white. The flowers were heat set and allowed to cool. The leaves were stamped on green card stock using a Memento Olive Grove Ink Pad. The leaves and flowers were shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. I gently misted the under side of the petals to soften the fibers prior to shaping with the tools. Emma Lou has a fabulous tutorial for shaping the flowers here: https://youtu.be/Z8P070kC3oo.

Baker Twine was coiled and applied to the card using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. The matted focal image was adhered using dimensional foam dots. The floral arrangement was adhered using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. The sentiment was applied using a small piece of the foam dot and Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. For a little sparkle - a dot of Champagne Glitter Pen was applied to the side of the sentiment tag. Your card is now ready to give to someone special!

After having formed the flowers and glued the layers together I added the prills to the centers and left to dry. When they were dry I glued the leaves and flowers onto the front of my card. Instructions: The finished size of this card is 17.5 cm x 21 cm. To make the card base: Taking the A4 cardstock and score at 6 cm and at 12 cm along the long edge. Fold into valley and hill folds. This will form the card front foot (6 cm x 20.8 cm) and card front background (17.7 cm x 20.8 cm). For the slider, cut 11.5 cm x 7 cm. For the card front cut 14 cm x 17 cm. All the matting layers will be cut at 2 mm smaller each side. Cut one matting layer in each of the Tan card stock and the design paper found in the paper pad to fit all the card base elements. Distress the design paper edges then you can adhere all the matting layers together with tape or glue. Remember, not to glue the top edge of the card front and the first matting layer. This is so you can slide the slider between the card stock layers. If you forget to do this, don't panic. (Make a band measuring 16.5 cm x 2 cm and adhere to the top back side of the card front. Use this for the slider guide; adhere to the back of the card front.)

Adhere the slider to the top center of the card background front. (Make sure you do not place the glue and double-sided tape too low. If you do this, the card front will not sit flat when closed. If this happens, to fix it, make a slider guide for the back and place it lower in the back.) Adhere the card front to the center of the card foot. Slide the slider in to place.

For the card front decoration: Make and adhere all the embellishments to the card front. NOTE: All the stamping is done with the gold embossing powder. Stamp the dog collar twice and trim to fit. Use the crop-a-dial to make the wholes in the dog collar loops. Make the paw hanger by die cutting once and die cutting extra to give it strength. Adhere the paw layers together using the clear drying glue. Stamp the bones and cut a few extra. Stamp the sentiments onto the bones. Adhere the layers of the bones together for strength the design paper and adhere to the front with the foam dots. Fussy cut the butterfly found in the left over design paper. I love all your cards but especially like the purple classic rose spray. I know I not only am proud of what I have made but have saved a lot of money by not buying a card at a store. I wish you would include more ideas on doing scrapbook pages. I watch many of your videos but wish you would also include written instructions as well. Your company is always helpful with any questions I have asked. Thanks!!
