This keepsake box is an altered wooden cigar box. This one measures 7.25 wide x 2.75 high x 6 inches deep. Prep the cigar box by removing loose stickers and inside flaps, but not the hinge. Glue down anything necessary on the box. Ink all outside edges and corners with StazOn Jet Black ink and heat set. If you choose light colored paper for the inside then no ink there is necessary. INSIDE: Distress the hinge area carefully to not break the hinge and ink with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Cover inside sides and lid with light colored Classic Editions Paper that has been inked with Walnut Stain on the edges, but do not cover the hinge area so the lid will close normally. I chose to leave the bottom uncovered since the wood was so pretty. Drill 4 holes in bottom corners to attach “feet” later. OUTSIDE: Chisel the wood out of the area around the drilled holes so the Hitch Fasteners can be attached as the feet. Cover the bottom with Raven Black Bazzill. Add TH Reinforcers to both inside and outside. Adhere a piece of Vintage Sheet Music to a portion of the lid with Mod Podge. Pounce Tea Dye Distress Ink lightly over the sheet music. Cover the rest of the box with the Raspberry Classic Editions Paper. As you put on the lid’s paper, tear a portion over the sheet music and tear, curl, fold, and ink it. Support the curl with pop dots. Die cut the Decorative Corner, ink with Versamark, and emboss with Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel. Cut and place in upper right corner under the fold. Print a vintage photo in sepia and apply a thin layer of Crackle Accents over top. Let dry. Layer onto black cs and photo corners embossed with Aged Copper. Secure a Curio Knob on lid with Glossy Accents and let dry. Stamp Posy Patch Flowers using Tea Dye Distress Ink onto 90# white cs. Sponge Vintage Photo Distress Ink lightly over stamped flowers front and back. Die cut all out with matching Posy Patch Die. Shape flowers, assembling petal layers with glue and secure with a pearl brad. Stamp Bella Rose Leaves on olive green Bazzill with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut using Bella Rose Die. Hand cut 2 raspberries and 2 flowers from the Classic Editions Paper and shape. Adhere vintage photo mat and flower cluster, using pop dots under some petals and foliage. Add some pearl swirls. Fasten a TH Swivel Clasp around the Curio Knob. Add charms and tie on some fibers.
