Decorate the inside of the fold-out house
first for ease since the outside will be more 3D. Cut a hole into the front of the house to make a bird house. Ink the edges and folds with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Cut the Basic Grey Fruitcake Orange Peel DP into 4 pieces to fit each panel. It cannot be one continuous piece because when the paper is adhered in place, it will not allow for movement to close up the house. Stamp the Rye Grass Flourish Corner onto 2 panels and add black photo corners to create photo mat areas. Stamp the Verse and Twining Roses using Archival Jet Black ink onto Neenah Natural (cream) cs. Die cut image into an oval. Color the flowers with Prismacolor pencils and stipple the edges with Broken China Distress ink. Layer onto a die cut Lacey Oval and pop dot onto the panel opposite the opening. Stamp 2 birds, die cut, color with Prismacolor pencils, and adhere over the verse. Punch a scallop tall ticket for a journal tag. Ink edges with Broken China and Vintage Photo. Secure an enameled brad through tag and DP panel. Add ribbon and a bird charm. Stamp twice the tail swirls of the bird into the peak. Adhere the panels to the chipboard. For the outside, ink edges with vintage photo and tumbled glass at the folds. Cut the BoBunny Flutter Butter DP to the size of the 4 panels. Stamp the wings of Hope Bird and Twining Roses on the front panel using Archival Jet Black ink. Stamp a second bird and die cut the bird. Add translucent glitter to the bird and pop dot in place. Water color Distress inks on the flowers. Die cut a Bella Rose Leaf from green cs and snip off some of the swirls. Stamp Tattered Blossoms flowers using Worn Lipstick Distress ink. Die cut, shape and layer flowers. Adhere to front panel on top of the green swirls. Using Glossy Accents, glue a piece of wood skewer in place for the bird perch. The 2 side panels are stamped with Mailbox Surprise and water brushed with Worn Lipstick and Crushed Olive Distress inks for the flowers and vintage photo for the bird house. Stamp an extra bird house, small butterfly, and 2 birds to pop dot. For the back panel, stamp the 3 Butterfly Swirl and color with Copics. Add Steel Blue Crushed Glass Glitter for the bodies and then cover the wings with Glossy Accents. For the roof, stamp the Basic Grey Kissing Booth Lip Lock DP with the Woodgrain stamp using Vintage Photo. Cut the paper to fit roof. To keep the roof shape in place, die cut 2 small Scalloped Posy Dies from the same green cs as the flower swirls and glue in place at each gable end. Stamp and die cut 2 small posy flowers and secure in place with a pink brad. Then cover the inside of the roof with dark blue cs. To finish the house, ink the chipboard bird with tumbled glass ink and stamp the Tattered Blossoms Swirls on each wing and the tail. Secure on the roof by cutting 4 little tabs and ink to match. Set 2 white eyelets with Crop-o-dile to secure the house shut with a ribbon. Add charms to the ribbon.
