Yellow Butterfly Swirls Tag
Instructions:
Other: #8 manila tag, Distress Inks (worn lipstick, crushed olive, vintage photo), Adirondack Butterscotch ink, Archival Jet Black ink, vellum, Stazon Jet Black ink, Copics (Y35, RV06, B16, YG25, V04), Glossy Accents, Canvas Corp double edged canvas fringe, Karen Foster Designs Scrap Stick, ribbons and fibers. Ink a #8 manila tag using Distress Inks and the wrinkle free distress method. Edge the tag with Vintage Photo ink. Stamp the Large Elegant Word Background on a diagonal using Adirondack Butterscotch ink. Stamp the Wings of Hope Butterflies with Archival Jet Black ink. Randomly stamp a portion of the Stained Glass Background around the tag using Crushed Olive Distress ink. Stamp the Wings of Hope Butterflies again onto vellum using Stazon Jet Black. Heat set ink. Die cut the butterflies using the matching Garden Romance Die. Color the butterflies on the backside opposite the ink with Copics. Coloring on the back will prevent the ink from smearing since both Copics and Stazon are solvent based, plus it gives the vellum a nice stained glass appearance. Glue the butterflies bodies to the tag using Glossy Accents and shape the wings. Cut a piece of canvas fringe the width of the tag, fold in half so the fringe is stair stepped. I stapled mine together with my TH Tiny Attacher. Color the fringe with the same colors of Distress Ink that you used on the tag. Glue to bottom backside of tag with Glossy Accents. Add ribbons and fibers to top. Secure a scrap stick in place for embellishment. CREATED BY: CAROLINE DUNCAN |
