Project Instructions:

Sunflower Birthday Presents CardOther Products: Vintage photo distress ink, brown cs, glue, hot glue gun, black memento ink, bandage, lace, rhinestones, pearlstring, ribbon, emboss and frantage powder, heat gun, 3d foam pads.

Instructions: This time I have created a lovely "presents card". The idea came from this Dutch site here. I know the sizes are in centimeters, but you can save the templates to your computer and just print them out in any size you want. It is nothing more than a basic easel card. I made the easel cards from brown cardstock and decorated with the beautiful Classic Sunflower Collection papers. The little presents were also made from brown cardstock and decorated with the design paper. I have glued the present that is on top of the card otherwise it might fall off:) and keep in mind you cannot fold this card.

Once you have adhered the design paper, you can start decorating your card, glue the presents where ever you want them. I used some die cuts and adhered them with tiny foam pads to create some depth. The little butterfly on the right has been cut out from the design paper. On the yellow sunflower I used a little bit of viva 3d paint stamp (hey I just bought it last week so I am carefully starting to play with it:)).

Project Instructions:

Sunflower Keepsake BoxOther Products: Off-White Card Stock, Orange Card Stock, Grand Decorative Labels One, Distressed Inks, Burlap, String, Ribbon and flat backed pearls from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions: Start by cutting the 2nd largest Grand Decorative Labels One 2 times, this will be your top and bottom. Next, cut 2 Labels 1 Grand Nestabilities out or Orange and finish by cutting another Grand Decorative Labels One using a piece of paper from the Classic Sunflower Collection. These pieces will form the top and bottom of your box. For the sides cut 2 - 5 3/4" x 4" strips of paper and score them on the long edges at the 1/2" mark. The other 2 sides are strips cut 6 3/4" x 4" and these are scored at the 1/2" mark on all 4 sides. Once you have them all cut and scored, assemble the side pieces together and then glue them to the base. To attach the top I like to cut another piece of card stock and glue it to both the back of the box as well as the lid to act as a hinge. You can then cover the hinge with extra card stock to hide the edges. Finish the box by decorating with more paper from the Classic Sunflower Collection and then start working on the lovely Sunflowers that come as part of this collection! Stamp, distress and die cut out some of the lovely Classic Sunflowers, assemble and finish it off in the center with some Bright Ideas Prills!

Instructions: Create a 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" card base from green cardstock. Trim the card front from the paper collection to 5" x 7" and stitch to the card base. Use the largest Spellbinder Label 18 cutting die to evacuate the white center from the card front. Back this with the mesh garlic bag. To do this, cut the top and bottom of the bag off, and then cut straight up one of the folded sides. Carefully open the mesh. Run Scor-tape around the inner edges of your card, about 3/4" from the edge. Lay the open mesh against the Scor-tape border and press down to seal. Use washi tape to cover the raw edges of the mesh. Open the card face up onto a craft sheet and tap the mesh with a cosmetic sponge that you have dipped into Viva Decor Copper Stamp paint. You can tap a little over the edge to add extra highlights. Set aside to dry. Use Scor-Tape to attach the burlap ribbon to the base of the card front.

Stamp the Classic Sunflower Precut Set onto pearlized white cardstock using Warm Mustard Ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Die cut, shape and stack. Sponge with Warm Mustard Distress Ink. Tap petals and leaves with Viva Decor Stamp Paint and add the button to the center. Hot glue into the top left hand corner of the card, as shown. Stamp and die cut the 3 petal leaf onto pearlized white cardstock using Peeled Paint DI. Die cut and sponge with Peeled Paint. Tap lightly with Viva Decor paint. Snip and add to the sunflower.

Use Sepia Ranger Archival Ink to stamp the rooster onto white cardstock. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Use watercolor pencils and water brush to color the image. Spritz once with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist. Fussy cut the image. Use your fingers to push the two ends of the rail fence toward the center so that the rooster bows outward, and then glue the ends of the rail fence onto the burlap, holding in place for a few seconds until the glue sets. The rooster should pop out above the mesh window you have created. Add the bow and the stick pins, and then finish the inside of the card.

For the inside of the card: Cut the card front from the paper collection. Use Ranger Sepia Archival Ink to stamp the Chick Retreat into the white space of the card front. Color in the background with watercolor pencils and a detail brush. Use Jet Black Archival Ink to stamp the sentiment at the base of the image.

Tuck smaller flowers to each side of the large one. Adhere two smaller flowers to the opposite side of the card. Die cut a medium blue flower. Cut in half and tuck each under the edges of the flower clusters. Die cut foliage and cut into individual leaves. Fold and shape each one, and then tuck into each of the flowers. Apply glitter to the centre of each of the flowers. Apply dimensional paint dots around the circular border of the image.

Project Instructions:

Other Products: Off-White Card Stock, Postage Stamps Die, Leafy Squares Die, Teresa Collins Woodgrain Cottage Embossing Folder, Distressed Inks, 3D pop dots, Bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions: Click here to view a larger project image. To make my crate I started by making 4 - 3D slats out of Off-White Card stock 10" x 4 1/4" and score on the long side at 1 1/4", 2", 3 1/4" and the 4" marks. On the short sides score at 1/4" mark from each end. These will fold into small 3D slats. For the sides I used the same principle but cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2" x 10 1/2" and scored on the short side at the 1/4", 1/2", 5" and 5 1/4" marks and also on the long side at the 1/4" and 1/2" marks from each side. Finally the base is made the same way but this time cut a piece of card stock 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" and score at the 1/4" and 1/2" marks on all 4 sides and finish by attaching another 9" x 6" piece of card stock on the bottom. (Hint: you can use this same method to make envelopes for cards that are to thick to fit into a traditional flat envelope!)

After you assemble all the pieces you can decorate to box as desired. I did not fill the box with anything, but it could be easily used for dinner rolls at Thanksgiving! Finally add some flowers. Stamp, die cut and distress some of the amazing Classic Sunflower PreCut stamp set and finish the centers of the flowers with Bright Ideas Prills or some bling.

Emma, that is such an adorable story about the little girl. I am sure she was so excited for you to take the time to show her. And this collection is just so gorgeous! I absolutely love the Fall season, and being in Arizona now, instead of Chicago, I don't get to see it much. But when I see such gorgeous creations as these, it all comes back to me. I am going to Chicago next week to visit family, and I'll find lots of inspiration I think and combined with these gorgeous projects, I can then send in my order when I return to get creating! thanks for all you and your DT do. Such beauty!
