Every Company has a Story here is ours... Written By: Linda Bontrager - President

Summer of 1995
I will never forget the day I picked up a stamp for the first time. I had bought a little stamp set for my kids & I was showing them how to use it. I remember picking up the stamp, inking it up & pressing it down on the paper, as I lifted the stamp and saw the image it was that AHH HA moment.
Its one of those moments in life when you realize just now you had discovered something amazing, and that would shape the course of your future.

Growing up Amish and living in Northern Indiana in an Amish farming community was not conducive to thinking "outside the box or being creative". We did not have access to any stamp or scrapbook stores in our area & hiring a taxi to go shop for stamps was just not an option at the time. But I had become permanently bit by the stamping bug.

Winter of 1997
Two years after picking up my first stamp we had built a new house on our 80 acre farm. By this time I had accumulated a shoebox full of stamps from mailorder sources I had found. We now had more space in our new home & I said to my husband you know do you think we could use a small corner of our dining room & get stamping products in for resale because I knew I had some family & friends that would like to have access to stamping products as well. I said something like this.. you know we'll just have a few stamps maybe some ink, embossing powder & cardstock.
Well that small start kept growing as word spread in our Amish community, later that year we moved the store from the dining room to our attached garage/porch area that was 16x20.
I had always enjoyed art & drawing so the next step I started designing our own line of stamps and again I thought I would just do a few and it turned into a couple thousand images.
We started doing Stamp Conventions where we would hire a taxi with a trailer and haul our product to shows across the midwest as a family. We built an addition to our shop in 2002 and moved our Retail Store out there.

Spring of 2004
In the spring of 2004 we sold our Retail Store. We had also come to the realization at this time that who we are in Christ Jesus is not dependant on our dress code, our way of life, and everything else we had been so strictly taught all our life. So at the age of 41 we left the Amish way of life, I got my drivers license along with the rest of my kids!! Was that scary? YES! We sold our farm and moved to another location.

Spring of 2006
In 2006 we started another Retail Store in Nappanee IN (Now Closed) and in 2007 we started doing conventions again, our oldest daughter Emma Lou and her husband Richard are in charge of that. As the oldest Emma Lou always wanted to do everything I did, she was the one that insisted on doing the demoing when we did our first conventions which she did very well, demoing glitter at the age of 14! She still excels in that today and you will see her at some of the conventions across the country. My second daughter Ellen is our shipping manager and makes sure your packages get put together correctly and she also helps at some of the shows. Our youngest Son Harlan is in college at the moment majoring in Communication & Design and does wonderful graphical work & creates amazing artwork for stamps. Our SonInLaw Richard is the computer geek around here and does a wonderful job in keeping our website sharp and updated. My Husband Willis is the production manager and helps with shipping when we are in a crunch. And I, Linda am the primary designer and design almost 24/7.
